EvnU is pronounced ‘even you’ reminding us God welcomes everyone without exception. We are a stand-alone, Christian Charity, formed in 2013. For us Christian revival is now and our charity was formed from the following prophesy from the Holy Bible:
“Forget about what’s happened;
don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present.
I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is!
I am making a road through the desert and rivers in the badlands.
Isaiah 43:19 (Message Bible)
EvnU seeks to serve God where He is working and ask Him to bless our work in that place. This work is focused in the very rural Wilford Peninsula with children and youth especially. We enjoy the support of the Church of England, though the way we work is not intentionally denominational.
Our team of volunteers operate in the five Primary Schools of Eyke, Sandlings, Bawdsey, Orford and Hollesley presenting ‘Open the Book’ and offering other Christian teaching. Fun After School clubs happen in Hollesley and Rendlesham and are open to all children, each week, in term time and do not forget our ‘twice a year’, week long, Holiday Clubs.
‘Evnuth’ attends concerts and festivals like Big Church Day Out and Soul Survivor, we really enjoy ourselves and invite as many as we can to be with us.
The drop in ‘Cafe Respect’ in St Felix Church, Rendlesham, happens each Friday in term times from 7 – 10 p.m. for those aged 13 and older and is for young people in Rendlesham and their friends, often attracting large numbers.
Potential for the work we do is vast and exciting, we rarely have a dull moment and we want volunteers to join us, with or without a faith. People who want to have fun, even meet God on His terms, and celebrate the wonder of youthful vitality! Age is not necessarily a restriction as our eldest volunteers are over 80 years and our youngest 15 years of age. Perhaps you could give a few hours each year?
Our work needs money and grant funding for Christian evangelism is scarce and in much demand, so feel free to give generously. What you give in we give out in subsidies, equipment and running costs. We do not charge for what we do so all may benefit, without exception.
