About Us

EvnU is pronounced ‘even you’ reminding us God welcomes everyone without exception. We are a stand-alone, Christian Youth and Children’s Charity, formed in 2013. For us Christian revival is now and our charity was formed from the following prophesy from the Holy Bible:

“Forget about what’s happened;
don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present.
I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is!
I am making a road through the desert and rivers in the badlands.
Isaiah 43:19 (Message Bible)

This has moved on to a passage from Galatians 6:9 in 2017:

We must not get tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up. (ERV)

EvnU seeks to serve God where He is working and asks Him to bless our work in that place. For EvnU our work is focused in the very rural Wilford Peninsula with children and youth especially. We work in symbiosis with the Church of England, though the way we work is not intentionally denominational. We are pioneers and evangelists.

Our team of volunteers operate in the five Primary Schools of Eyke, Sandlings, Bawdsey, Orford and Hollesley presenting ‘Open the Book’ and other Christian teaching. Fun After School clubs happen in Hollesley and Rendlesham and are open to all children, each week, in term time.

In keeping with our tag line we are evolving.

Malcolm is talking about stepping back from some of the front line action so he can enjoy being a Granddad. We are exploring what it means to be a Lightwave group under the banner of  ‘Fresh Expressions’ of  being  Church. We will work more with others to attend concerts and events as running them on our own is very  time consuming and demanding on team. Holiday clubs will become day events and fun sessions.

‘Fizzers’ children’s church is run by the youth, evangelising  to both, and is all action as well as being a voyage of discovery – this is funded by the Jimmy Dale Fund.

Evnuth is moving on with God n Chips and Tuesday evenings in St Felix.

Work in Primary Schools is developing and we still need more mums and dads or grandparents with a few hours to spare to help us.

Money is an issue, wages are an issue, we do need your donations and any ideas you have for funding streams. Funders often  discriminate against faith groups.

The work of God will carry on without us BUT  we believe it is not our time to give up yet. So many say they benefit from our work and we still say it should be given freely, without exception.

We are going to have storage costs as we will be renting a container in the near future.

God is on the move in this place and we are praying we are listening carefully and moving with Him!
